Cancel for Work Reasons
Some trip cancellation coverages either include cancel for work reasons as a "covered reason" or they allow you to add to your trip cancellation coverage as a separate option.
Plans that offer this coverage require that your vacation time be approved prior to buying the insurance. If you have to cancel your trip due to a work reason, you'll need to provide a notarized statement from an officer of your company confirming that your vacation was cancelled because of work.
Plans also may include being "laid off" as a valid "covered reason" provided you have worked for the same company for a specific period of time prior to buying the insurance.
