Recently I read a posting on a travel group where the question was what company offers the best travel insurance policy. Several individuals offered their opinions about one company or the other but only one individual gave the correct answer that there is no “best policy for all trips but only a policy for your specific trip.”
That might sound confusing but it isn’t when you understand that various travel insurance policies have their own strengths and weaknesses and what is good for one person for one trip might not be good for another person or for a different trip. What maybe adequate emergency evacuation coverage from the Caribbean would not be for a European Trip. What might be adequate medical coverage for a 50 year old who is covered by their employer’s group insurance would not be adequate for a 70 year old who is only covered by Medicare
The best advice is to be an informed consumer. Understand your needs and then compare the travel insurance plans we have on QuoteWright.
